About Sogode
Pragmatic architecture for real-world infrastructure
I work with infrastructure and network leaders, enterprise architects and platform teams who need to modernise critical environments while keeping today’s services running. If that sounds like your world, we’ll get along.

I help organisations modernise data centres, networks and cloud connectivity without losing sight of how things actually run day to day. The goal is always the same: designs you can operate, support and evolve – not just pretty diagrams.
Background
Over more than two decades in infrastructure and networking, I’ve worked across enterprise IT, managed services and vendor ecosystems. That includes roles such as:
- Designing and operating software-defined data centre platforms
- Enterprise and solution architecture for network, security and cloud
- Hands-on troubleshooting of complex connectivity and performance issues
- Modernisation of legacy environments without disruptive “big bang” rewrites
I’ve worked on both sides of the table – helping internal teams make sense of vendor offerings, and helping service providers deliver platforms their customers can trust.
How I work
Independent
I’m not tied to a single vendor, product or sales target. The recommendations are based on what fits your organisation, not a quota.
Hands-on
I stay close to the technology: configs, diagrams, logs and runbooks. The work is grounded in what your teams actually touch.
Pragmatic
Clear trade-offs, realistic timelines and an understanding that you still have to keep today’s services running.
What we can work on together
- Software-defined data centre and VMware networking designs
- Multi-cloud connectivity and network architecture
- Micro-segmentation and firewalling governance
- Campus / branch networking modernisation
- Migration planning and design assurance for major changes
Next step
If you recognise your environment in any of this and want a sanity check, a review or a longer engagement, start with a 1-hour session or an architecture review.
